November 2012

On Saturday, November 3rd, your mother and I took Andrew to his baseball game.  Unfortunately, he forgot his glove and I didn't have a house key so we all went to see you play.  So glad we did, because you made TWO interceptions.  It was very exciting.

After the game we went back to your house to get your things.  I took this photo of your team photo that your mother had made into a stand up.
On the way to Nana's house we stopped at McDonald's for something to eat.  All you wanted was some French fries and a Blizzard.

Back at the house you helped Mr. Bob make a ramp for Mr. Greg.  He'll need a couple of them to get in and out of the house.

After making the ramp for the front door, we went grocery shopping.  You insisted on corn bread muffins and some kids mouthwash.  When we got back to the house I found a large box of corn bread mix.  You didn't even eat the cornbread muffins.  We slept in the Indian room and I had to take down two cows heads and put them in the closet.  In bed you said "Can I tell you something?".  You then talked about school and things you are learning.

Then Sunday morning you worked on the ramp going out back from the living room.  You really enjoy helping Mr. Bob.  In the meantime we saw lots of planes flying in formation go over the house.  There was an air show at the Scottsdale airport.

We watched Rise of the Planet of the Apes and you put on lots of tattoos.  You also invited me to a talent contest at your school on March 30th.  When your parents came to pick you up, they helped hang a huge mirror we bought for the LR/DR.

On Monday, I searched every where to fink my key ring with your house key, our mail box key and my Swiss Army knife.  I searched the cars, truck box where we keep keys, etc.  Finally, when I was driving with Mr. Bob in his car, it came to me.  The key  ring was in my cigarette lighter compartment.  Problem solved.

On Saturday, November 10th I came to watch you play.  I missed Andrew's game again, but when you went to watch him play you slipped in your flip flops and fell front down in some mud.
You played well and banged up your kneecap, hit your head and almost had an interception.

Here a couple of photos of you and your brother making breakfast at home.

I gave you and your brother money for getting all A's and you immediately went our and bought a skateboard.  That's what I was going to get you for Christmas.  Now what do I do???

Your mother called and said that your playoff game today, November 17th would only last 20 minutes and you were playing a really good game and probably wouldn't win and immediately after the game there was a team party.  So with all that I decided to pass.

During the week you and your brother, as usual, were playing games in the house and you broke a window.

Then for some event for school, your mother let you wear animal print leotards.  What was she thinking???

Thanksgiving eve we had a BBQ and Santa showed up as a surprise.   Before Santa arrived you went swimming.  Because there had been so many kids in the pool, I decided to use my whistle.  then Ms Cyndi decided to assign numbers to everyone, so when the whistle sounded you had to yell out your number.  You were number 7.

On Thanksgiving, you with Ms. Cyndi put together a gingerbread house while Wesley watched.

Turkey desserts your mother made for all the kids.  So very cute.

Then Andrew started helping with the gingerbread house.  Jaiden watching the two of you.

Then your mother joins in.  Finally your dad just watched.

Here is a group family photo.  This is the first time we have all been together.  Uncle Jeffrey usually comes for Christmas, but decided he would come for thanksgiving to meet all of Bob's family.

I asked your parents if you could sleep over on Friday, November 30th, but it turns out that you belong to the school Zoology Club and they are planning a sleep over at the Zoo that night.  I'm sure it will be lot's of fun.  By the way, your mother is one of the chaperons.  Hopefully you can sleep over on December 8th.

You , Jaiden and Wesley, I think played some chess.

As an after thought, I want you to know that I joined a church this month.  I finally found an Episcopal church near the house.  I had been looking for a long time.  It's on Hayden near Pinnacle Peak.
Your father and uncles went with me to Episcopal churches in Niagara Falls, NY and then in Lockport, NY.  Uncle Jeffrey was confirmed there.  Uncle Bruce was in the choir and went to NYC with them one year when he was about your age.  I have been very disappointed that your parents never got you christened and that they don't take you to church.  When you become an adult I hope you can go on your own.
