October 2012

On Saturday, October 6th, I met your mother and brother at the Metro Rail Parking to pick you up for a sleepover.  I had the top down and you said you really liked it.  The weather was beautiful.  You forgot to pack Millionaire Monopoly, so we stopped at Target to get one.  They were all out, but i did buy a little puzzle and got you a Pokey Mon small card game.

Of course, you made cookies with Mr. Bob while I went to Ace Hardware to get some spray paint.

You made a very large cookie and ate most of it.  However, you did burn your arm on the cookie pan when removing cookies.

I returned from Ace and you helped Mr. Bob spray an ornament piece we bought for the fireplace in our bedroom.  You said you had to use a mask because you inhaled some fumes earlier in the week when your mother was spraying something for Halloween.

Then you helped Mr. Bob clean the fountain in the courtyard.  First you need the shop vac.

 Then a hose.

This week is the 30 year anniversay of the movie ET. I took your father and Uncle Bruce and Uncle Jeffrey along with my mother to see it when with lived in Shreveport, LA. My mother and I both cried.

After all that work we watched Captain America and you played Madden 2012 on the Wii.  You found my earrings and had to put them on.

The next morning we watched Battle of LosAngeles.  It was okay.  Then we decided to take you to CrackerJax.  You rode the big go carts for the first time by your self.  Good job.

Then we played miniature golf.  You didn't really try to hard.  You were just messing around.  You scored 50, Mr. Bob and Nana got a 38.  I was really focused and got 2 holes in one.  Then Mr. Bob gave you $7.00 for helping him and you spent five of it on the machines.  You got about 100 tickets and ended up with some candy that you could have bought for 25 cents.  Oh well.

Then we drove you to meet your mother at the parking lot for the Metro.  I took this photo.  You look tired.  Too much fun.

Then on Tuesday the 16th I came over to spend some time with you and your brother.  It was Fall Break.  Took a photo of two teeth that you had lost.

You showed me the can holder you father put together for you.  Then we went to lunch at Zipp's Sport Grill.  In the car your mother mentioned about you guys using TLC (Think, Listen and Compromise.)  After lunch we stopped to buy pumpkins and took them to yur house to carve them.

I think your mother did most of the work.  I took the seeds out of the pumpkin insides, rinsed them and baked them in the oven with your help.  I guess your father used to like them when I baked them for him when he young like you.

It was a fun day.  Mr. Bob and I will be leaving on Friday the 19th (My birthday.) to spend a week in Cabo, Mexico to celebrate.  I look forward to seeing you and your brother playing baseball and football, on the 27th.  See you then.

Here are some photos from our trip.
We celebrated my 68th BD at a lovely restuarant overlooking the Sea of Cortez.

More celebrating with friends.

Mr. Bob took all of deep sea fishing on the Pacific Ocean.  We caught 5 Mahi Mahi (Dorado).  They are beautiful fish.  Mine was the largest of our catch weighing about 35 pounds.

Coming back into the marina one sea lion jumped up on the swim platform.  Then another huge sea lion jumped up next to the first one and scared the crap out of me.   They were huge.

While we were gone your mother posted this on FaceBook.  The Berkillo Lemonade Stand.

Then when I arrived home I got a photo of you in the mail of your official Saints photo.  How handsome and older you look.

You mother also sent me a photo of you and Andrew sing Happy birthday to me.  You guys are to funny.

I am so very sorry that I have miised the last few games that you've played.

Halloween morning I played golf with a friend.

After golfing I went over to your house.  Here are the photos of Halloween night.

I reminded you of a poem I learned when I was a little girl.

He how for Halloween
When all the witches are to be seen.
Some in black and some in green
He how for Halloween.

Your mother sorting thru and checking all your candy.  You sure got a lot of candy!

A fun time was had by all.
