Thursday your mother had you try on your tuxedo to make sure it fit. You are such a handsome young man.
On Friday August 19th Uncle Jeffrey arrives. A little while later you, your brother and mother arrive. Your father came a little later.
Especially in the pool.
Here you and your brother are making a sandwich with Uncle Jeffrey in the middle.
Tonight is going to be "Pasta Night". Three different pastas with sauce or butter, plus Italian bread.
Here's me, Uncle Jeffrey, in the pasta chef hat and apron I bought for Mr. Bob when Uncle Bruce and I were in Italy.
You in the pasta outfit.
You with Uncle Jeffrey. Boy are you getting tall!
Here you are zonked out!!!
Now it's Saturday morning. The day we get family photos taken. Got this photo of your mother helping you get dressed.
You are so handsome and good lookiing. The girls are going to be chasing you someday soon.
It was Mr. Bob's idea for all of us to dress formally. He refused to wear a tux and it was his idea. Go figure!!!
After the photo shoot we all went back to the house and started playing stuff. Here you are riding the "Finding Nemo" riding car I bought you for your first birthday.
Mr. Bob and your mother playing checkers as usual. She lost $40.00.
We played Wii in my bedroom. You wanted to play chess and I said okay. However you were moving pieces incorrectly so I tried to teach you what pieces can move where. You wanted to play by your rules, but I tried to explain that you needed to follow the rules, which Uncle Bruce printed out for us, so you could become a good player.
I think it was after we were in the pool and playing games that Mr. Bob came into the kitchen yelling at me (He does that sometimes, but doesn't really mean it.) about the pool motor running and who hit the spa button and why didn't I hear it. Of course he forgets that my hearing is bad, but Uncle Jeffrey went out with us and said he had heard it, but didn't think anything of it. In any event, you talked to your mother and then with me and we convinced you to tell Mr. Bob that you had pushed the spa button. You told him and we were so Proud of you. Mr. Bob wasn't mad, he just wanted to know what had happened. In any event, after you mother offered to pay for whatever and Mr. Bob refused, he later (about month) replaced the motor, pool deck, light, etc., so it was really no big deal. I hope you learned that's it always best to tell the truth. Honesty is really the best policy!
Here's daddy taking it easy.
Then you wanted to have a bubble bath. So here you are.
After all the different groups of photos taken by the photographer, we forgot to get a photo of me and your mother. So here we are.............
And your mother & Father.
Birthday celebration dinner. Filets, mashed potatoes, veggies and rolls.
.
Then out came the cakes. You love to light candles, but you do get carried away. You tried to light my candles in the family room, which I never light. Good thing we caught you. You did it again on Sunday. What is the fascination with fire that most kids have??
I cut off your head in this photo. thank goodness your mother took better shots.
You and your family spent the night. Your mother and Andrew slept in the Jr. Suite. You slept with you father in my office. Uncle Jeffrey was in the other bedroom and Uncle Bruce went home.
The next morning we all went to brunch at Armatage at DC ranch. You had two huge pancakes.
You ordered a large pancake and then wanted another. We were all surprised.
I think everyone had a great weekend.
