While your brother was sleeping over at our house, you did this with your father!!!!  Awsome!!!!!

On Saturday, you and your parents came to pick up Andrew.  Later I talked to you on the phone and you reminded me that you were starting diving lessons and you asked if we could put a diving board on the pool.  Unfortunately, our pool is too shallow for a diving board.  Can't wait to see you diving.

3rd Annual DBacks Family Day

Today we all went to see the DBacks play the LA Dodgers. We meet out front and went looking for the facing painting women. Not there. Later inside, we went to Baxters den. It was closed, but that didn't stop us from having fun. Because Mr. Bob has had knee surgery and uses a cane, he bought us tickes in the handicapped area, which is on the first level at the top. We had lots of room and it was a great spot. Here are some photos.

During the game you wanted to play ball so we went to that area. From there we went to the batting cage.

After the game, Mr. Bob and I went to Fridays while you and your brother went on the field to run the bases. I took this photo from Fridays. You were so far away I couldn't tell when you ran on the field, but your mother got this shotat the bottom and sent it to me.

It was a great day and lots of fun!!

MLB Fanfest/All Star Game

On July 8th, 9th & 11th I was a volunteer for FanFest 2011. They found me because I volunteer every year for the PGA's Phoenix Open golf tournament. Fan Fest is like the SuperBowl of football and it may not be back to Phoenix for a lot of years.

I was hoping your mother would bring you, but she thought it was going to be extremely crowded. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

On my first day it was the ribbon cutting. All of the mascots for every baseball team was there. It was very interesting and exciting. On Saturday I was selected to help "guard" Louis Gonzalis (Gonzo), who was the hero ten years ago when Phoenix won the World Series. So, on this tenth anniversary he was conducted into the Spanish Baseball Hall of Fame.

Below is a photo of me in front of the world's largest baseball. The next photo is showing the signature of "Bud Selig" the Commissioner and then a photo of him talking on stage (on the right). I did meet him for a few seconds to tell him that Bob Schoenbachler said to say hello. He said to say hello back. You see, Mr. Bob worked for Bud Segil many, many years ago at the Milwaukee Brewers.

This coming Sunday, you, your brother, mother, father, Uncle Bruce, Mr. Bob and me are going to the DBacks game against the Dodgers for our 4th annual family ballgame outing.

4th of July 2011

Mr. Bob's daughter came with her family to give me a break in taking care of Mr. Bob after his knee surgery.  So, they were here for the 4th of July when you and your family came over for a BBQ.  Right before we ate, I burned my left arm on the baked beans casserole.  It really hurt and your father went to the drugstore to get some cream and a bandage.  Your mother fixed me up with a pain pill and I finished it all with lots of wine.  However, I did stay around to watch the cannonball contest and the ball toss.

Here are the winners of the cannonball contest.  You, Andrew, Alyssa and Jaiden.  In the background is Mr. Ron, our neighbor, and Mr. Dennis.  Everyone won a ball.

Later Mr. Dennis threw balls for you to catch when you jumped into the water.

Of course, your mother and Mr. Bob had to oplay some chess.  You mother came out the winner.

Later you and Andrew played in the family room for awhile.  I went to bed very early because the pain pill and the sleeping pill knocked me out.
