President's Day February 21, 2011

On President's Day you, Andrew, your parents and I went to CrackerJax to play miniature golf.  Y'all also rode the race cars.  Andrew was with your mother and you went with you father in the yellow car.  They won the race, but you had a lot of fun.  The photos aren't that great because, at your suggestion, I took them with my cell phone.

Afterwards we went for something to eat at Chili's.

Basketball, Saturday, February 12th 2011

Saturday I came to watch you play basketball. Here are some photos:

You made three baskets, one of which was a "swish".  After the game the coach had a team meeting.  You received the Snickers bar for passing and assisting in a basket.  Great job.  I took the photo of you in the back seat with your rosy cheeks.

I didn't stay very long after the game because I promised Mr. Bob I would come right home.  Ended up going to the ER for a small issue.  I had planned to take you and Andrew to the driving range, but you have been grounded for a week.  Apparently you got into trouble in school and negelected to tell your mother until after she took you and Andrew bowling.  You should always be honest and up front, especially with your parents.
Called you yesterday to wish you a Happy Valentines Day and to see what you were doing for school today.  Uncle Bruce was babysitting and you refused to talk to me.  Must be one of those 7 year things.

Family Night February 7, 2011

Here's the thank you note you sent me and Mr. Bob.

You were sick for last Saturdays basketball game so I didn't get to see you, but came over Monday afternoon for family night.  You wanted to race on the bikes, so I hopped on your mother's bike and off we went around the block.  You let me get a head start, then told me turn the wrong way, so I got another head start.  Even with two head starts you won, but it wasn't because I wasn't trying!  I was pooped and had to take a break.
After our break, we went outside to hit a couple of golf balls.  You kept going to your left and I tried to get you to turn to your right a little.  Nope, not you, so you lost a ball in some really thick ground cover.  Next I tried to show you how to hit in the right direction.  I really nailed it.  It crossed the road, hit a trash can, which protected my ball from hitting a car parked in the drive, bounced on the road and back to a neighbors yard on the corner.  I thought your friend Matthew, who was running in the same direction, was going to get the ball, but he couldn't find it.  We both looked a good while and just gave up.  Two lost balls!!!

Later, we told your dad and he said "No more hitting golf balls in the little park across the street from your house!!  He's not much fun, but I guess we could have done some damage, so next time it will be at the driving range.

Later we played Jr. Monoply with Andrew.  I lost.

Your mother sent me this photo of you with your Ipad and watching XBOX the next day .  All this at 7 years of age.
