Christmas 2010

Here's a photo of the ornament you and Andrew gave me for Christmas 2005.  I just love it!

In the local Pinnacle Living issue in December, Mr. Bob and I were featured in Vicarious Vacations section.

Here's a photo of Uncle Jeffrey's Christmas Tree.

Uncle Bruce won store of the year at their annual Christmas Party for Men's Warehouse.  I took a photo of him before he left our house on December 11th.

Below is the Christmas card Mr. Bob and I sent out. The plane is just like his with the "V" tail. Above is the card your parents sent.

On Saturday the 18th, Mr. Bob bought a new car. While your dad and Mr. Bob were in the driveway setting up the instruments you and Andrew were also there when a bobcat casually walked by.

I picked you and your brother up on the 21st for a sleep over.  Instead of sleeping in the Junior Suite, I suggested you sleep in a sleeping bag in the family room.  You loved the idea!

You did ask me a question.  "When I am 31 how old will you be?"  The answer was 90.  Yuck!!  I don't know where you come up with this kind of stuff.

Above awake and below asleep.

The next morning we went to the movies to see Nirvana in 3D. Mr. Bob met us at Red Robin for lunch.  You almost lost your DS.  You forgot it in the restaurant and we went back to get it.  Fortunately, they still had it.  You were very lucky.  Then we went shopping for a Christmas gift for mommy and daddy.  I wanted to get picture frames which said Mommy and Daddy on them, but could only find one with memories and anther with some bling on it for your mother.  When we got home, I took some photos of you to put into the frames.  Then I wrapped the gifts and put them under the tree.

I tried to find something red and added the annual reindeer headbands, santa hat and red noses we wear at Christmas.

The two of you were really getting into the spirit.  In the photo below you wanted to wear the reindeer headband like a beard.

We sang the twelve days of Christmas, but I had to look up the words on the internet because I couldn't remember them.  Then I received an email explaining what the song means.

Then you helped Mr. Bob make cookies.  You did great!  He said that next time he would let you make them all by yourself with just Mr. Bob supervising.

Then I found my Cajun Christmas book that I bought in Shreveport almost 30 years ago.  I read it to you and later you looked at the photos and tried to read it yourself, but then asked me to read it again.

You wanted me to put on a couple of tatoos on you and so did Andrew. So we had a tatooing event.

Christmas Eve......  Uncle Jeffrey likes nuts in the fudge, so I made a batch for him in the morning and let him cut it into squares.

You had helped Mr. Bob make cookies the other day and he let you make cookies for Santa all by your self.  You were really into it and were very serious.

Later I took this photo of you and Andrew putting puzzles together on the patio.
Mommy trying to guess what was in the package.  It was a big checker cloth game.

The keyring you and your brother got me.  I put it on my "Memory Tree".

Uncle Jeffrey, with the hat with hair I got for Uncle Bruce.  Mr. Bob with the visor with hair I got him.

Christmas Day you and Andrew brought over your new guitars.

Saying goodbye at the front gates.

Mr. Bob and I leave on Monday  for Hawaii for two weeks.

On a final note of 2010, I was remembering at dinner one night at our house when you asked this question:  "Are you and Mr. Bob married?"  I thought Mr. Bob was going to choke on his food.  I answered you that we were not married.  That we are too old to get married.  You said "Then how will you have babies?"  Again, I said we are too old.  The things you ask......

December 18, 2010

Mr. Bob bought a new BMW convertible today and your and your parents came over to look at it.  We had fun jumping rope while your father helped Mr. Bob set all the gadets on the car.  We went to dinner at BJ's and afterwards we roasted marshmellows in tthe back yard.

You and your brother are coming over for a sleep over on Tuesday.

Uncle Jeffrey's 47th Birthday

Today was Uncle Jeffrey's birthday and Mr. Bob and I had you and your family and Uncle Bruce over for dinner to celebrate.  Uncle Jeffrey's exboss also came over.

Uncle Jeffrey tries his hand at jumping rope.  He did pretty good for an old fart!

You two really love your Uncle Jeffrey!

We ate dinner in the dining room.

The three brothers.  Huey, Duey and Luey.  That's what my brother Ted called them when they were little.
