Football Scrimmage

This morning I went with you, Andrew and your parents to your first flag football scrimmage. You did pretty good.  Your first real game is scheduled for September 11th.  You asked if I would be there.  Of course I will.

Above I caught you running off the field and then with a friend getting something to drink. You were getting hot out there.

AZ Science Center

Today we went to church.  Your mother and father are trying to find a church they like.  You didn't want to go because you wanted to go to the Mormon church with your neighborhood friends, but your parents want to find a different church which fits how they were raised.  You will make new friends where ever you attend.   This church didn't work.  I think your parents want a  little more consertative/traditional type.  Your mother will keep looking.

After church we went to the AZ Science Center.  They had lots of new demonstrations.  You especially liked the one where they ignited some powders.  It was part of stop, drop and roll.
After the science center, we went to lunch at The Claim Jumper at AZ Mills.  You and Andrew ordered pretzels and loved them.  You also had a "Shirley Temple".  For desert you had ice cream which you added hot chocolate and some sprinkles. After lunch you posed outside for a "photo shoot".  You are growing up way to fast.

2nd Annual D-Backs Outing

Here you are with your brother Andrew having fun eating cotton candy.  What a mess.

Both of you with your father.  Look at your blue tongue.
The top photo is you picking up balls for the "pitcher".  The next is you at bat.  You look like a pro.
We missed our photo opportunity with Baxter, but I asked another fan to take this photo.
You took this photo of your mother and Uncle Bruce.  Also the one below of the big screen.
Mr. Bob couldn't make it up and down the stairs, so he waited in his seat until we came back.Uncle Bruce and Nana after the game.  All in all it was a great day.

Last Day of Babysitting

Yesterday was the last day for me to babysit.  Next Wednesday you and Andrew will be in school full time and your mother will be able to sleep.  I will miss not seeing you on a somewhat regular schedule.  Today we went to Ms. Jen's for me to get my toenails "sparkled".  You jumped on the trampoline, played with her dog "Nash" and Wii.  Then we went to PetSmart.  They no longer have birds or rodents, but we looked at the fish and cats.  You really wanted to pet/play with one of the cats, but I didn't think it was a good idea.  Then on to McDonald's for an early lunch.  In this photo you are enjoying Skittles' Fizzl'd Fruits.  They fizzle in your mouth.  You like to let it stay on your tongue.

We went back to your house and I went swimming with you and your brother.  I judged your cannonball jumps and we shot a little water basketball.  I went in to go to the bathroom and get you and Andrew a Popsicle when Mr. Bob called.  He said he was on his way to the hospital because he was having chest pains.  I asked you to wake up your mother.  It was around 1:00.

Babysitting

Yesterday was the first time for me to see you in almost two months.  I brought back some gifts that Mr. Bob and I bought on our "Grand Tour".  I went on an intensive search in NYC for these hats.  They are very popular and the Frank Sinatra style hats are being worn by lots of people.  Including the Jonas Brothers.  So here you are the "Almost Naked Tantillo Brothers Band".  You liked the black hat because it matched your underwear.  You loved the harmonica we got at Ellis Island in NYC, but I think it's going to drive your father & mother nuts.

We also got you puzzles of Niagara Falls, Mt. Rushmore and the NY Yankees.  We put all of them together while I was there.

Then you went swimming to cool off.  I had to get gas, so we went to Pet Smart and Mc Donald's for lunch while we were out.
